CHINA

The mission in China aimed to assist persecuted Christians.

There, some churches are registered with the state, but they are subject to close surveillance by the Chinese Communist Party. Sermons and Christian activities must be approved by the authorities, and surveillance cameras are often installed in places of worship to monitor the faithful, as we witnessed. In the face of these restrictions, many churches have chosen to remain 'underground,' unregistered by the state, in order to freely proclaim the truth of the Gospel, share their testimonies, and invite others to follow Jesus without censorship or limitations. However, these churches live under the constant threat of closure, arrest, or violence, and the Christians who participate risk arrest, fines, and even imprisonment.

While we were there, we met Chinese brothers and sisters who were burdened and discouraged by the restrictions imposed by the authorities. However, they felt deeply loved through our presence. Our visit deeply touched them, reviving their faith and giving them new spiritual strength.

THE MISSIONARIES WERE ABLE TO:

Meet pastors and leaders to:

  • Encourage them in their ministry and support them in their spiritual challenges.

  • Accompany them through humanitarian actions, to meet material needs.

CONCLUSION

The local ministries were deeply touched and supported by our presence. Trapped in the free expression of their faith, they found courage and hope again. We firmly believe that God has not finished His work with the Chinese people, and we are eager to witness it.
