PERU – Chulucanas
In Chulucanas, a city in northern Peru, in the Piura region, many families live in great poverty, with limited access to clean water, education, and healthcare. Spiritually, the Catholic faith predominates, but it is often mixed with traditional beliefs and popular rituals. This coexistence highlights a deep need for clear and transformative biblical teaching.
THE YOUNG MISSIONARIES WERE ABLE TO :
-
Food Distribution: We went from house to house and visited churches to deliver food parcels to 240 families living in extreme poverty. At each visit, we shared the Gospel and prayed for the residents.
-
Humanitarian and Spiritual Support: A woman living with HIV received a wheelchair and a food parcel, along with a time of prayer and encouragement.
-
Evangelism in Homes and Communities: We shared the Good News of Jesus with both believers and non-believers in homes, churches, and organizations supporting children with disabilities and others living with HIV in conditions of extreme poverty.
-
Partnership with the "Para Pronar" Organization: We participated in an evangelism and awareness campaign against sexual abuse, emphasizing the message of love, restoration, and hope in Jesus Christ.
-
Public Evangelism: We were blessed to preach the Gospel in two stadiums, touching lives through the power of testimony and the Word.
-
Caring for the Little Ones: We spent time playing with children, sharing God’s love with them in a simple and tangible way.
CONCLUSION :
This mission was marked by a powerful move of the Spirit of God, touching hundreds of people during evangelistic campaigns, in homes, stadiums, and churches. Peru is a predominantly Christian country, yet many lack teaching on life in the Spirit.
Following our visit, a multitude of people were baptized in the Holy Spirit, receiving a profound spiritual renewal.
We witnessed miraculous healings: a woman suffering from a bone disease regained her strength to the point of being able to hold her child again; a visually impaired person regained sight; another, deaf in one ear, regained hearing. Hearts were restored, and the power of the name of Jesus was demonstrated with both strength and compassion.
Beyond the spiritual aspect, this mission was also marked by deep compassion for the most vulnerable: children living with HIV, people with disabilities, families broken by poverty… Each received special attention, prayers, tangible support, and a living testimony of God’s love.
The Lord is faithful, and through every action, every look, every prayer, His love was made manifest in Peru. To Him alone be the glory, honor, and praise
