SENEGAL - Casamance
The territory of Casamance is 70% Muslim. It is an area where dark spiritual influences are deeply rooted in the daily life of many. Practices such as witchcraft, animist beliefs, and fear of evil spirits are still very present, profoundly influencing the lives of its inhabitants.
By planting a church in Casamance, in collaboration with Missionary Action, we are not just building a physical structure, but proclaiming Christ’s authority over the darkness. We declare that Jesus is the light of the world and that no power of darkness can stand against His name. Through prayer, the preaching of the Gospel, and the love shown, the church becomes a refuge, a place of deliverance and healing for those who are oppressed.
THE YOUNG MISSIONARIES WERE ABLE TO:
-
Church planting: the replacement of an old church that had fallen into ruin.
At the inauguration, 250 people gathered, among them Muslims who testified of being healed.
-
Sharing the Gospel in prison
-
Evangelism every evening
-
Distribution of food packages to 100 families
-
Caring for orphans
-
Purchase of 30 mattresses for prisoners
CONCLUSION
The mission was tough, as we set up camp in the heart of enemy territory, facing both spiritual and human challenges. But the victory was there, and we give all glory to God for the miracles, the lives touched, everything He has accomplished, and also for the team that gave of themselves through this mission.
This is a call to pray for the region of Casamance, to proclaim God’s reign, and to see chains broken so that the people can walk in the freedom and peace that Jesus offers. That is why we are planning a new mission next year to continue the work already established on the ground
