SWEDEN - Kil

The Swedish population has a strong historical Christian foundation, but fewer than 5% regularly participate in religious services. Today, around 60-65% of Swedes are members of the Church of Sweden, although this membership is often more cultural than spiritual. A large portion of the population identifies as agnostic or atheist, and religious beliefs are less influential, with a stronger emphasis on secular values.

It is in this context that we sent 6 teenagers on a mission. The goal was for them to engage in social actions while adding a spiritual dimension by sharing their faith and testimonies.

SPECIAL MISSION FOR TEENS - 6 Teens

  • Evangelism Through Sports

  • Teen Testimonies, in French and English

  • Retirement Home: Christian Singing and Moments of Sharing

  • Cooking for People in Need

  • Community Center: Two teenagers shared their testimonies of faith, followed by a message from the leader and a call to prayer, which led several people to accept Jesus into their lives.

  • Distribution of 1.8 Tons of Food to over 150 people at the social center in Stockholm, including many refugee women from Ukraine and migrants.

  • Sports with Children from a Low-Income Neighborhood where they shared the Gospel.

CONCLUSION

This special mission for teenagers had a profound impact on each of their hearts. They pushed themselves beyond their limits, and many shared their testimonies, whether on the street, in a retirement home, or in a sports hall. They were confronted with the reality of poverty, but more importantly, with the power of the name of Jesus.

Feedback from the youth pastors highlights the incredible effects on their spiritual lives, and what is most remarkable, these changes have been lasting. Following this mission, two teenagers even made the decision to be baptized, marking a significant turning point in their faith.
